We're taking message scheduling to the next level! Remember, Campaign Flows allow you to create several campaign messages within a single flow. With our scheduling feature, you can choose the specific date and time at which you'd like to send each individual message within a flow to your subscribers.
Timezone scheduling for campaign flows is now built directly into the campaign scheduling process — no more adding a “Timezone Delay” as the first step in your flow. Simply check “Use subscriber’s timezone” when scheduling a campaign, and subscribers will be automatically enrolled at the right time based on their local timezone.
Why Schedule Campaign Messages?
- Timing is key. By scheduling each individual message, you have more control over sending the right messages at the right times.
- Set it and forget it. With our scheduling feature, you can maintain precision and control of timing by having your campaigns run in the background on a set schedule so you can focus on other parts of your busy day.
How to Schedule Campaign Messages
- Select Messaging in the side menu of your Postscript dashboard, then select Campaigns.
- Select Create Campaign in the top-right corner of the page.
- Select Create a Campaign Flow, Standard Campaign, or Campaign Templates.
- Configure the Campaign Properties and select the Update button.
- Build your campaign by dragging and dropping elements from the Actions panel on the left.
- Select the Save button in the upper left, then select the Schedule or Launch button.
- Select the Schedule campaign for a future date radio button.
- Set the Date and Time, then check the Use subscriber's time zone checkbox. The launch time and date for each time zone segment are displayed.
- Select Schedule Campaign.
Adding Delays
Merchants can also add a delay between steps in the flow, such as waiting a day or two to send the second message in a campaign.
- In the flow builder, drag a Delay icon from Actions to the Drag Step Here bubble in the flow you're building.
- Set your delay with one of the three options available.
- Delay For an amount of time is a fixed interval. This option allows you to send your message after a specific interval of time (e.g. Delay sending this message until after a 5-minute delay or after a 5-week delay).
- Delay Until a specific date allows you to choose the exact date and time that you'd like to send each individual campaign message (e.g. Delay sending this message until December 20th, 2026 at 4:00 PM).
- Delay Until a certain time of the week allows you to choose a day of the week and a time of day that you'd like to send each of your flow messages (e.g. Delay sending these messages until Sundays at 2:00 PM).
- Randomized lets you set a time and date range for the delay to last.
- Save your delay settings by clicking the purple Save in the bottom right of the Delay editor.
Delay Use Cases
Use the Delay For an Amount of Time option for expiring deals or promotions. For example, a shop can use the fixed interval delay to notify subscribers that their sale is ending and to act before it's too late.
Merchants can create noise around upcoming sales with the Delay Until a Specific Date option. Send out an initial campaign notifying subscribers to stay tuned for something special coming on a particular date, and then delay the sale announcement message until the sale begins.
With the Delay Until a Certain Day of the Week option, merchants can send regular weekly campaigns that offer insight into sales, tips, or promotions.
Schedule a Message According to Subscriber Timezone
Whether for the campaign launch schedule or subsequent delayed steps in the campaign flow, all messages can be sent according to the subscriber's time zone (rather than to all subscribers at once). Simply check the Use subscriber's time zone checkbox for each timed step in the flow.
When scheduling a campaign, select the Schedule campaign for a future date radio button, then select the Use subscriber's time zone checkbox.

Can timezone delays still be used as the first step in a campaign flow? No.
Can Recommended Send Time delays still be used as the first step? Yes, but only if that feature is enabled.
Why do campaigns using subscriber time zones remain in progress longer? Campaigns will remain in progress until messages are sent to all cohorts across different time zones.
Why are there smaller “Total Subscriber” counts immediately after scheduling? This number increases as each timezone cohort activates.
