Understanding Infinity Testing in Campaign Flows

Infinity Testing in campaigns leverages predictive analytics and generative AI to create, test, and learn from multiple message variations. After the test period, the top-performing message is sent to the remaining subscribers, maximizing revenue and providing valuable insights. Since 87% of SMS messages are campaigns, optimizing performance here is essential. With Infinity Testing, you can move beyond outdated A/B tests, ensuring your messages continuously improve for maximum impact.

In this article, we'll show you how to set up Infinity Testing in Campaign Flows.

Before Getting Started


Please ensure your Brand Center is thoroughly filled out. This step is crucial, and the starting point to training Postscript AI on your unique brand, so you can have confidence that AI across Postscript is adopting your brand voice.

Add Infinity Testing to Your Campaign Flow


  1. From your Postscript Dashboard, select Messaging. Then select Create Campaign in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose Create Campaign Flow. Next, select Create a new campaign, then select the Create flow button.
  3. Name your campaign. We recommend naming it something that will allow you to easily identify this campaign as an Infinity Test (e.g., November 6th Sale - Infinity Test).
  4. Select a segment. For best results, create or select a segment with at least 10,000 subscribers.
  5. Next, drag and drop the Infinity Testing action into your flow.
  6. Update the test configuration settings and input your inspiration message.
    • Test Variant %: Percentage of subscribers who receive the test variants.
    • Test Run Time: We highly recommend running the test for 6 hours. The test run time is how long the flow waits between the initial message group sending and determining the winner based on earnings per message.
  7. Create your inspiration message, then select Save changes in the upper right corner.
  8. Select the View message button to view message variants.
    • Postscript AI will automatically select at least 10 of the potentially highest-performing messages and will generate several dozen variants to choose from.
      • We recommend selecting 10 AI message variants to include in the send. The more variants we can test, the quicker the AI model can learn what works for your brand.
    • Message strength is a prediction based on Brand Center entry, playbooks that performed well in the past for your brand, and general details on what performs best for Campaigns.
  9. When you're ready to send your Infinity Testing Campaign, select Schedule or Activate in the top-right corner of the page. You have two options when sending a flow:
    • Activate immediately: This option will immediately begin the flow allowing subscribers to enter the automation based on the selected properties.
    • Activate at a scheduled time and date: Choose when you'd like the flow to begin allowing subscribers to enter.
  10. Once the test is complete, Postscript will send the winning message to the remaining subscirbers.
   Get the most out of Postscript AI! If the AI-generated messages are not on-brand, head to the Brand Center to update your settings.

Reviewing Results


You can view Infinity Testing campaign results within a flow or under the Infinity Testing tab within Analytics.

Under the AI Campaigns tab, you can compare how each infinity test has performed based on earnings per message lift, click through rate, and revenue.

   Get the most out of Postscript AI! Send at least 5 Infinity Testing Campaigns to segments of 10,000+ subscribers. The more campaigns you send, the better the AI models become and the more data we have to understand the performance compared to regular Campaigns.
