Set Up Your Brand Center

Who gets this? This feature is currently in Beta. For eligibility to join the beta, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

Brand Center allows you to set and adjust your brand preferences in order to train Postscript AI on your unique brand voice-- all in a centralized location.

Brand Center gives marketers an opportunity to train and influence Postscript AI on their unique brand voice. Additionally, multiple checkpoints let marketers review AI-generated copy, adjust brand preferences, and provide feedback before sending messages.

To get you started, your brand center is pre-populated with information from your website, social media, and other sources. You can review the pre-populated content and make adjustments to any field at any time. Postscript AI digests the inputs and produces example content. Marketers can continue tweaking preferences and brand context to further train and influence Postscript AI.

In this article, we'll walk you through the brand center, advise on how to set up your Brand Center, and discuss what comes after setting up your Brand Center.

Reviewing Your Brand Center

The more information about your brand added to your Brand Center, the more educated the AI model will become on your brand voice. To see optimal results, we highly encourage brands to review and complete all brand center fields.

  1. From your Postscript dashboard, select Brand Center in the left-side navigation panel.
  2. Within Brand Center, there are two tabs within your Brand Center - Voice and Links & Documents. We will cover each section below.

Voice

Under the voice tab, you'll find the following fields: Industry, Brand summary, customer description, Tone of voice, Brand Persona, Preferred Content, Discouraged Content, and Example Content. Let's review each below.

In the About Your Brand card, select your industry by clicking the Industry dropdown and choose which industry your brand most closely falls in.

Brand Summary will automatically populate with information about your brand from social media, your website, and other sources. Review, add, and/or edit the content. Consider adding information about brand expression, values, mission, product information, or rules for the AI (e.g., Positive Language: Use language that is encouraging, friendly, and supportive. Avoid competitive or divisive tones.). The AI model will consider the tone that you use in this summary when generating messages.

Within the Target customer base, you can add information about your customers. Share key details like demographics, interests, and shopping habits to help shape messaging that reflects your brand’s voice.

The Tone of voice card allows you to further influence your tone. You can select and move each slider within the Tone of voice card according to your preferences.

With the Persona card, you can define a brand persona. A brand persona allows you to personify the personality or image of your brand by defining a Name, Role, Gender, Age, and Location. By including a persona, the AI can better understand your brand voice.

The Preferred content card allows you to define words, phrases, and emojis that align with your brand. You can add preferred sign-offs (e.g., "See ya!", "Bye bye", "Have a wonderful day!") and greetings (e.g., "Hiya" "Howdy, ya'll!") and inform emoji usage in your messages.

Under Discouraged content, you can add words, phrases, and emojis you want to discourage the AI model from using in generated content. The system is designed to automatically filter out content that is likely to be deemed inappropriate by carriers, but you should always review the proposed message content.

The Branding Voice Content card allows you to preview AI-generated examples of messaging for Automations and Campaigns based on your brand preferences, which can be adjusted in the About Your Brand, Tone of Voice, Brand Persona, Preferred Content, and Discouraged Content cards. After selecting a Sample Template from the drop-down menu for a specific automation or campaign and then selecting the Refresh Content button, you will see the Inspiration Message as well as a few AI-generated variants for the respective template. Continue adjusting the various brand templates and refreshing content until you're satisfied that the sample messages match your brand.

Links & Documents

Under this tab, you'll find individual sections to manage links and documents. Let's review each section below.

Within the Links section, you can add or delete links and manage how the link information is applied to the brand model. Postscript will automatically populate links from your social media, website, and other sources. Consider reviewing and managing the pre-populated links. By adding links to product catalogs, FAQ pages, social media accounts, or blog posts, you can supply the AI model with more information to learn about your brand and brand voice.

To add links you can select the Add Link button in the upper-right corner. Add the link and indicate what kind of source the URL is (i.e., social media, branding, etc.). You can then choose to apply the information on the linked page to the AI model by toggling the bar next to Apply to brand voice.

Select the circled ellipsis (...) in the Actions column to edit a link or delete a link from the brand center. Before proceeding to the Documents section, be sure to save any changes you've made to the Voice section.

Under the Documents section, you can add or delete brand documents (e.g., brand guidelines), and manage how documented information is applied to the brand model. By uploading documents to your Brand Center, you can supply the AI model with more information to learn about your brand and brand voice.

To upload documents, select the Upload File button in the upper-right corner. Click the Select File button to browse and choose your file. Indicate the document type, then choose if you would like to apply the documented information to the AI model by toggling the bar next to Apply to brand voice.

Under Actions, you can edit or delete a document from the brand center.

Using Brand Samples to Refine Messaging and Tone

  3. The Inspiration Message for the selected automation or campaign will be displayed, with a handful of additional options beneath.
  4. To view the template for different automations or campaigns, select the Samples Templates drop-down menu and select a different one.
  5. If you don't think the template text matches your brand voice, adjust things on the left (such as the Tone of Voice sliders) and then select the Refresh Content button next to the Samples Templates drop-down.
  6. Review the newly generated template text. Continue adjusting things or select Save in the upper right to save your changes (or Reset Changes to discard them).

What's next?

Continue tweaking your brand center to further influence and adjust your brand voice. After all fields are reviewed, select Save in the upper-right corner to save your changes and begin generating messages.

Once your Brand Center is completely filled out, you can get started with AI Infinity Testing. Infinity Testing combines predictive analytics and generative AI technology to generate and test thousands of on-brand message variants that evolve over time.
