Link a Klaviyo Form or Popup

Who gets this? Shops on all Postscript plans have access to this feature. Learn more about Postscript Plans.

Postscript integrates with Klaviyo, allowing you to share information between the two solutions. Klaviyo is an automated marketing campaign solution that focuses on email, social advertising, and analytics. By linking your Klaviyo account with Postscript, you can grow your SMS subscriber list through Klaviyo forms, popups, and email lists.

Before following this guide, please be sure to set up your Klaviyo integration.

  7. If you are collecting SMS subscribers on a Klaviyo mobile popup or form also, please proceed to the next section. If you are not collecting SMS subscribers on a Klaviyo mobile popup or form, skip to step 7 under Configure Your Klaviyo Mobile Form or Popup for instructions on how to publish your form and find your form ID.

Set Up Your Klaviyo Mobile Form to Collect SMS Subscribers

Before you can properly funnel SMS subscribers to Postscript from a mobile Klaviyo form or popup, you'll need to generate a short link in Postscript that you will add to your mobile Klaviyo form or popup.

This short link, when tapped, will redirect a subscriber to their native text message app with a pre populated message prompting them to opt into your SMS program. In this section, we'll walk you through how to generate a short link in Postscript, and then how to add the URL to your Klaviyo popup or form.

Generate a Postscript Short Link

  1. Select Acquisition in the side menu of your Postscript dashboard, then select List Growth Tools.
  2. Locate Share your opt-in link and select Get Started to the right of this option.
  3. Choose a Keyword from the drop-down. Users who opt-in using this link will be logged under this keyword.
  4. Select Create Page to create a landing page where desktop visitors can enter this phone number. Postscript will provide the necessary compliance language here.
  5. Set your Mobile Opt-In Message. When users on a mobile device select your opt-in link, it will launch their native mobile app with this message pre-populated.
    • If your keyword is identical to the shop name included in your message, your link creation will error out. Please use a keyword that is not your exact store name.
  6. Select Get Link to generate the opt-in short link. Be sure to copy this short link - you'll need to add it into Klaviyo next.

Configure Your Klaviyo Mobile Popup or Form

    • Note: Your compliance language should appear on your mobile popup since it was added to your desktop popup. If it is not, please be sure to add it and hyperlink your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  6. On the left-side editor, under Button Click Action, select the dropdown and choose Go to URL.
  7. Paste the short link you generated previously in your Postscript account.
  8. Once your desktop and mobile popups are configured to collect SMS subscribers, select the Publish Changes button in the upper-right corner. You may see a warning popup that says "Confirm your SMS sending information". Select Skip and publish.
  9. You'll see another popup that says "Publish Form", select Publish.
  10. Next, locate form or popup ID in the URL address. You'll need to copy or write down the ID so you can enter it in Postscript.
    • In the above example, the URL is https://www.klaviyo.com/forms/WYVah9
    • The form ID is WYVah9.
  11. Proceed to the next section to link this form in Postscript.

Once you have your form or popup ID, you can enter it in Postscript.

ezgif.com-gif-maker (59).gif>

  1. Select Apps in the side menu of your Postscript dashboard.
  2. Locate and select your Klaviyo integration.
  3. Select Add New Form. If you are linking your first form, you'll select Add First Form.
  4. In the popup, paste your Klaviyo Form ID in the corresponding field.
  5. Review TCPA compliance and select I certify TCPA Compliance in the bottom-right corner of the popup.

We recommend you test your form or popup on a live site once you've linked it in Postscript to ensure it is collecting subscribers correctly.

Important! Be sure to test your form or popup on a live site. Testing in a dev environment will not produce the correct subscriber journey.

Before You Go

  • When collecting subscribers using a list growth integration, subscribers will be prompted with a "Reply Y to Subscribe" text to confirm their opt-in. This allows your shop to confirm they are a valid, consenting subscriber. This Reply Y interaction is automatic and cannot be disabled.
  • When collecting subscribers, the TCPA requires you to include necessary compliance language that informs visitors that they are opting into SMS messaging from your store. Here's the TCPA-compliant language:
*By providing your phone number, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages (e.g. cart reminders) from this shop and third parties acting on its behalf. Consent is not a condition to obtain goods or services. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help and STOP to cancel. You also agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • We encourage our shops to add Postscript's Dynamic Messages Terms of Service and Messaging Privacy Policy hyperlinks in order to remain compliant.
