How a Smile Integration Benefits You
Use the power of Postscript segmentation in tandem with Smile to create highly-personalized customer experiences and reward repeat purchasers.
Improve your brand's customer lifetime value by sending automated SMS updates incentivizing subscribers to join your Smile rewards program.
Configure Smile
In the Smile Admin, select Settings and then select Developer tools.
In the Manage API keys card, select Generate new API key.
In the Name field, enter a value that represents how and where the API key will be used (e.g. "Postsctipt key").
Select one or multiple access scopes for the API key (Note: Postscript integration requires the customer:read scope). These determine what type of data the API key can see or modify within the account, and merchants should only grant each API key the minimum set of access scopes needed.
Select Generate and then copy the provided API key.
Switch to the Postscript Dashboard and select Integrations.
Under Available Apps, select Smile.
Enter your Smile API Key, then select Save Integration in the upper-right corner.
Activate or deactivate the integration by selecting the Active/Inactive toggle bar in the upper right corner of the page.
Using Smile in Segments
Enrollment Status
Your brand may consider using Postscript segments to target subscribers enrolled in your Smile rewards program. Follow the instructions below to create segments based on subscriber's enrollment status and Loyalty Point Balance.
From your Postscript Dashboard, select Messaging, then choose Segments.
Select Create Segment in the upper-right corner.
Name your segment. Choose a name that will allow you to easily identify this segment in the future.
Under Segment Criteria, select Enrolled in Smile. Choose equals from the logic dropdown. Select TRUE.
Save your segment by selecting Save Segment in the lower-right corner of the editor.
Add this segment to campaigns or campaign flows to target subscribers based on their Smile enrollment.
Point Balance
Address your top purchasers by sending a campaign to those who have earned a certain amount of loyalty points. Follow the instructions below to target subscribers based on the amount of points they've earned with your brand.
From your Postscript Dashboard, select Messaging, then choose Segments.
Select Create Segment in the upper-right corner.
Name your segment. Choose a name that will allow you to easily identify this segment in the future.
Under Segment Criteria, select Smile Points Balance.
Choose your logic (e.g. equals, greater than, less than, or equal to) and add a point balance to the value field.
Save your segment by selecting Save Segment in the lower-right corner of the editor.
Add this segment to campaigns or campaign flows to target subscribers based on their Smile point balance.
