Set Up Your Reviews.io Integration – Postscript

Who gets this? Brands on Reviews.io's Start-Up and above plan have access to this integration.

Postscript integrates with Reviews.io, allowing you to share information between the two solutions. Reviews.io helps brands build trust with potential customers by showcasing real reviews and UGC that highlight the brand's product value and quality. With our integration, you can leverage Reviews.io events in Postscript.

Create a Postscript API Key

Select your Shop Name in the side menu of your Postscript dashboard, then select API.
Select Create Security Key Pair on the right side of the page, then confirm your action by selecting Yes.
Add a label to your API key so you can track where this API key is being used.
Select Show in the Private Key column to reveal your API key. Copy this key or write it down—you'll need to enter it in Reviews.io later.

Configure Postscript in Reviews.io

From the Reviews.io dashboard, select the Postscript Integration.
In the Postscript API Key field, paste your Private Postscript API Key.

Sending Custom Properties to Postscript

When new reviews or surveys come through to Reviews.io, they send custom properties to the subscriber record in Postscript.

Below are the properties Reviews.io pushes to Postscript:

Important: There is currently a limit of 50 custom properties per subscriber. If a record in Reviews.io has the maximum number of custom properties, some properties may not sync properly.

Reviews.io-Specific Automation Triggers

Postscript can receive events from Reviews.io when new reviews or surveys are received. The following Reviews.io events can be used to trigger Postscript automation flows.

REVIEWS.io - New_Positive_Product_Review	A customer has left a new product review, rating 4-5 stars
REVIEWS.io - New_Negative_Product_Review	A customer has left a new product review, rating 1-3 stars
REVIEWS.io - New_Product Review	A customer has submitted a new product review (triggered for both negative and positive)
REVIEWS.io - New_Positive_Company_Review	A customer has submitted a new company review, rating 4-5 stars
REVIEWS.io - New_Negative_Company_Review	A customer has submitted a new company review, rating 1-3 stars
REVIEWS.io - New_Company_Review	A customer has submitted a new company review
REVIEWS.io - New_Survey_Submission	A customer has submitted a new response to a survey (captured via the Surveys Widget, which must be set up correctly to capture email addresses)
REVIEWS.io - New_Photo	A customer has submitted a new review, attaching 1 or more photos
REVIEWS.io - New_Video	A customer has submitted a new review, attaching 1 or more videos

Important: In order for the aforementioned events to be pushed to Postscript, the integration must be properly configured and each event must be triggered.
