About Fondue
Fondue helps merchants replace coupons in their welcome series popup, email, & SMS with CashBack offers. Customers may redeem CashBack post-purchase either as cash or a gift card for the merchant's store.

In this article, we'll walk you through setting up Fondue, locating your CashBack code, and adding that code to both your desktop and mobile popups.
Adding Fondue to Shopify
- In your Shopify account, select Apps from the left menu.
- Enter Fondue in the search field. Select Fondue from the search results.
- Select Install from the left navigation and then select Install again to grant access permissions.
- Select Approve on Shopify and then select Approve.
- Select Next, and then review and Accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Select Next Step, then watch the explainer video and select Next.
- Select Get Started, and you'll see the Fondue app Overview.
Locating Your Fondue CashBack Code to Append to Links
- From within your Fondue account, navigate to your CashBack Promotions page.
- Locate the CashBack offer you'd like to add to your Postscript messages, then under the Code column, copy the entire code (In the example above, the code is ?cashback=2packsale).
- If you have not yet created a promotion, start here.
Offering CashBack in a Mobile Popup
- From your Postscript dashboard, select Acquisition. and then select Popups.
- Select an existing popup you'd like to offer CashBack on. Alternatively, you can clone an existing popup or create a new popup.
- In the upper right, toggle between mobile and desktop if necessary.
- Postscript popups default to a "20% Off" offer, so be sure to update all language to reflect your CashBack offer on each layer across the top.
- On the Success layer, edit your message to include the CashBack code, pasting your shop URL into the Content text box, and appending the Fondue code to the back of your URL link (example: https://revolve.nyc/?cashback=shiran20)
- Save by selecting the Save button in the upper-right corner. To activate the popup, toggle the Active switch bar.
Offering CashBack in a Desktop Popup
- On the left-side navigation panel of your Postscript Dashboard, select Acquisition, then select Popups.
- Select an existing popup you'd like to offer CashBack on. Alternatively, you can clone an existing popup or create a new popup.
- In the upper right, toggle between mobile and desktop if necessary.
- Postscript popups default to a "20% Off" offer, so be sure to update all language to reflect your CashBack offer on each layer across the top.
- Under Welcome Message, paste your shop URL into the message editor and append the Fondue code to the back of your URL link (example: https://revolve.nyc/?cashback=shiran20).
- Save by selecting the Save button in the upper-right corner. To activate the popup, toggle the Active switch bar.
Offering CashBack in Your Mobile Legacy Popup
- From your Postscript dashboard, select Acquisition. and then select Legacy Popups.
- Select an existing popup you'd like to offer CashBack on. Alternatively, you can clone an existing popup or create a new popup.
- Postscript popups default to a "20% Off" offer so be sure to update all language to reflect your CashBack offer.
- Under the Form section, you can edit your Welcome message.
- To add your Fondue code to your Welcome Message, paste your shop URL into the message editor and append the Fondue code to the back of your URL link (example: https://revolve.nyc/?cashback=shiran20)
- Save by selecting the Save button in the upper-right corner. To activate the popup, toggle the Active switch bar.
Offering CashBack in Your Desktop Legacy Popup
- From your Postscript dashboard, select Acquisition. and then select Legacy Popups.
- Select an existing popup you'd like to offer CashBack on. Alternatively, you can clone an existing popup or create a new popup.
- Postscript popups default to a "20% Off" offer so be sure to update any and all language to reflect your CashBack offer.
- Under Welcome Message, paste your shop URL into the message editor and append the Fondue code to the back of your URL link (example: https://revolve.nyc/?cashback=shiran20).
- Save by selecting the purple Save button in the upper-right corner. To activate the popup, toggle the Enable bar.
