Q2 2026 | What's New

What’s new in Postscript — updated as features ship through Q2 2026.

Q2 is all about giving you sharper control across your entire program. More flexible messaging, smarter list growth tools, a tighter feedback loop with Shopper, faster Infinity Testing, and new ways to manage how your team works in Postscript — these updates put more precision in your hands. Here's what's new!

Messaging

Powerful new ways to build, personalize, and deliver high-impact messages.

NEW — Flow Builder Support for Back in Stock Trigger

Create Back in Stock automations directly in Flow Builder with full trigger configuration, inventory threshold settings, and all existing merge tags. Legacy Back in Stock automations can be migrated in with everything intact.

NEW — Merge Tag Fallbacks

Set a fallback value on any merge tag in Flow Builder — so when a subscriber is missing a first name, custom property, or other data point, your message fills in a default automatically.

NEW — Flow Action Titles

Give each action in your flows a readable name — so complex flows stay organized, and every message is easy to find. Titles auto-apply when you add a new action and can be updated anytime!

IMPROVED — Dynamic Product Photos for RCS Cards

Product photos now populate dynamically in RCS cards and carousels, pulling in the right image per trigger — and syncing automatically to your fallback message so setup stays consistent end-to-end.

Acquisition

High-converting list growth tools to capture, convert, and grow your subscriber list.

NEW — Rebuilt Back in Stock Popups

Fully rebuilt Back in Stock popups with complete design control, standalone analytics, scheduling and testing support, and email collection. Includes bidirectional cloning to and from regular block popups.

NEW — First Page Visited Targeting for Popups

Show or suppress popups based on the first page a visitor lands on — perfect for brands running multiple ads to the same collection or category page. One simple targeting rule replaces dozens of UTM-based ones, and the same filter is available across flows and segments for a consistent subscriber view.

IMPROVED — Streamlined Popup Targeting Experience

A redesigned Targeting tab brings every popup targeting rule — page targeting, teaser controls, and more — into one organized, accordion-based view. A cleaner, faster setup experience as your targeting toolkit grows.

IMPROVED — Granular Popup Teaser Controls

Two new teaser controls give you more precision: exclude teasers from specific pages without turning them off everywhere, and adjust z-index to fine-tune how teasers layer with other on-site elements. Polished placement, no compromises.

IMPROVED — Popup Editor Enhancements

A grab bag of improvements is live across popups, landing pages, and embedded forms:

  • Spin-to-Win auto-start: STW popups auto-spin and advance to the next step on open — no button click required.

  • Countdown timer time zones: Search by city, region, or UTC offset and get what you'd expect — and timers now resolve to each subscriber's local time.

  • Branded favicon uploads: Landing pages support custom favicon uploads so the browser tab matches the brand.

  • Popup list filters: Filter popup, BIS, landing page, and embedded form lists by status — active, scheduled, has data, etc.

  • Direct teaser launch: Popups can open directly as a teaser for a less disruptive first impression.

  • Editable teaser hover state: The teaser button now exposes hover-state controls like every other button block.

  • Per-platform teaser toggle: Enable or disable the popup teaser independently on desktop and mobile.

  • Scroll-depth triggers: Fire popups based on how far a visitor scrolls. This can be a stronger intent signal than time-on-page alone.

  • Resizable close button: Adjust close button size for accessibility-focused brands and mobile-heavy stores.

  • Scratch-off auto-advance: After scratching off their offer, subscribers automatically progress to the next step.

  • Bidirectional cloning: Reuse any popup, back-in-stock popup, or landing page as the starting point for a new one. No rebuilding from scratch.

NEW — City/State Targeting for Popups

Make your popup relevant to where your shoppers are — show or hide it by state or city to match regional campaigns, spotlight market-specific products, or direct local shoppers to a nearby store.

NEW — Embedded Forms

Drop a Postscript Onsite Opt-in form anywhere on your site with a single embed snippet. Built inside the same acquisition editor as your popups and landing pages, with the same blocks, styling, welcome message, and custom property controls. Opt-ins are tracked with a distinct source, so you always know where each subscriber came from!

IMPROVED — Cloned Popups Auto-Added to Automation Subscriber Filters

Cloning a popup that's part of an automation flow automatically adds the clone to that flow's subscriber filters — no manual updates across multiple automations needed.

NEW — Financial Incentive Notice Consent Language

Brands that need a Financial Incentive Notice in their SMS consent language can add it once in Shop Settings, and it applies automatically across every Postscript acquisition surface — popups, Back in Stock, landing pages, embedded forms, and checkout.

Brand Center

Your brand's single source of truth — for every AI-powered conversation.

NEW — Launchpad

A persistent home in Postscript for discovering features and continuing setup wherever you left off. AI Setup and Onboarding flows now live in Launchpad — so getting more out of your account is always one click away.

IMPROVED — AI Message Feedback on Every AI Surface

AI message feedback: thumbs down, reason, and context — is live across every AI-powered surface: Infinity Testing campaigns and automations, Brand Center preview, and Shopper outreach, with the relevant brand setting surfacing immediately after submission.

Shopper

Precision-tuned AI conversations that personalize, convert, and stay on brand.

NEW — Ask Shopper

Shopper chats with your customers all day, every day. Ask Shopper gives you a direct line into what they're saying. Type any question about subscriber conversations and get back a structured breakdown of themes, patterns, and the specific conversations behind every insight. Results are easily shareable by link.

NEW — Shopper CX Escalation: Gorgias & Zendesk

When a subscriber needs CX support (a cancellation, web issue, or edge case), Shopper routes them directly to your help desk without making them switch channels. Shopper detects escalation signals, creates a Gorgias or Zendesk ticket with the last 10 messages for context, and pauses automatically while your team handles it. Once the ticket closes, Shopper picks back up. The subscriber stays in the same SMS thread the whole time.

IMPROVED — Shopper Responses: RCS Suggested Replies & Product Link Actions

Brands live on both Shopper and RCS now get AI-powered tappable suggested replies and product link buttons in Shopper conversations — reducing friction in shopping flows and making product recommendations easier to act on. The enhanced experience activates automatically for RCS-eligible subscribers; non-RCS subscribers see no change.

Infinity Testing

More ways to test, optimize, and prove incremental impact across your program.

IMPROVED — Faster Infinity Testing Campaign Windows

Brands can now test Infinity Testing campaigns in as little as 1 hour. Testing in shorter windows opens up the time-sensitive campaigns: daily sends, cross-channel drops, product/collection launches, while still being able to let AI improve performance and drive more SMS revenue.

IMPROVED — Infinity Testing Campaign Draft Review Links

Need to send an Infinity Testing Campaign to your team for a quick review? You can now shoot them a link that automatically opens the AI-generated variant drawer in Flow Builder and filters to selected variants. These enhancements make reviewing and getting team sign off on Infinity Testing campaigns faster and easier than ever. Drop the link in a Slack or email, and they step right into the exact experience they need: approving, editing, or unselecting variants before scheduling or launching.

App Systems

Account tools and controls built to keep your team moving and your program on track.

IMPROVED — New User Permissions

Three new roles give your team the right level of access! Admins can now assign three new predefined roles to team members: Support Agent, Viewer, and Analyst.

  • Support Agent: provides access to conversations and subscriber opt-outs.

  • Viewer: offers read-only visibility across the platform.

  • Analyst: delivers full analytics access, including export, alongside read-only access to campaigns, flows, subscribers, and popups.
