NEW: Postscript integrations work with ALL Swym plans.
Postscript integrates with Swym, enabling merchants to send personalized retargeting and engagement marketing campaigns to subscribers via SMS. This article explains for to set up and use this integration.
About Swym
Swym is a shopper engagement platform equipped with back-in-stock and pre-order alerts, a full-featured wishlist, insights and analytics, and more.
Why You Should Set Up Swym
- Send back-in-stock automations from Postscript using Swym-specific automation triggers.
- Alert subscribers about price drops or stock running low.
- Send reminders about their wishlist.
- Seamlessly collect subscriber data from your Swym back-in-stock form.
Create a Postscript API Key
- Select your Shop Name in the side menu of your Postscript dashboard, then select API.
- Select Create Security Key Pair on the right side of the page, then confirm your action by selecting Yes.
- Add a label to your API key so you can track where this API key is being used.
- Select Show in the Private Key column to reveal your API key. Copy this key or write it down—you'll need to enter it in Swym later.
Configure Postscript in Swym

- In your Shopify admin's left-hand menu, select Wishlist Plus under Apps, and then select Integrations.
- Locate the Postscript tile and select the Connect button.
- You will be prompted to enter the API key generated earlier, as well as a keyword, which is used when adding subscribers to Postscript.
- Since Postscript only supports the SMS channel, SMS is enabled by default, and no further changes are needed. Select the Save button.
Testing the Integration
Merchants can test the integration by sending test triggers to Postscript.
- On the Postscript page in the Wishlist Plus app, select Test Events & Triggers.
- Under Select Triggers, select the checkbox for each event you want to test. Note that Postscript only supports the following events:
- Wishlist Reminder
- Low Stock Alerts
- Price Drop Alerts
- Back in Stock Alerts
- Back in Stock Reminder
- Enter a Phone Number
- Select the Send Test Triggers button.
- Next, switch to the Postscript app. Select Messaging and then select Automations.
- Select the drop-down menu beneath Trigger event or property. You should see all of the event triggers you tested.
Note: When using Swym’s Back In Stock trigger, add a message delay of at least 5 minutes. This allows Swym time to add any new subscribers sourced from the back-in-stock form to your Postscript account so that those subscribers are eligible to receive your back-in-stock messages.
