How an Abra Integration Benefits You
Using Postscript and Abra, merchants can send auto-applied discounts, VIP offers, and dynamic promotions via SMS, driving opt-ins and conversion rates while protecting margins.
Using Abra with Postscript
Activating the Postscript connection in Abra instructs Abra to listen for an onsite opt-in event, which then triggers the assigned discount. Once the opt-in is live on Postscript, Abra handles the rest automatically.
First, brands must set up the promotion in Abra.
Open the Abra app from the Shopify dashboard and select Promotions.
Edit the Promotion Title and select the + Add discount button.
Select a discount type (in this example a Multi-class tier discount).
Enter a Discount code and scroll down to the Tiers section.
For each tier, set a Minimum purchase amount and then select the + Add discount button.
Add a Product discount, Order discount, Free shipping, or select a Free gift with purchase.
After setting up the discounts for each tier, select the Save button in the upper right.
After setting up the promotion, merchants must associate it with Postscript.
Open the Abra app from the Shopify dashboard and select Settings.
Scroll down to Integrations and locate the Postscript tile.
Select the Activate button.
Select the Promotion Code from the discount drop-down menu.
Select the Save button.
Putting Abra and Postscript into Action
Postcript and Abra users can leverage this collaboration in two different ways:
- When merchants want to activate an Abra promotion when a subscriber opts into SMS communications via Postscript, follow all the steps above. Create a multi-tiered promotion and then use that specific promotion code to activate the integration with Postscript.
- When merchants want to utilize Abra promotions in Postscript-powered SMS campaigns, only follow the first set of steps above to create the promotion. Then copy and paste the Abra links into the campaigns in Postscript, no integration required.
