Postscript integrates with Junip, allowing you to share information between the two solutions. Junip offers brands an easy-to-use way to collect and display customer reviews. With Junip, brands can showcase reviews and user-generated content to build trust with current and potential customers.
With our Junip integration, you can:
Easily send review requests with Postscript automations and personalize with customer name, ordered products, and review link.
Build trust with genuine, in-depth reviews that leverage photos, videos, and custom questions.
Create a dedicated reviews page and on-site sections to display product and site reviews.
In this article, we'll guide you through how to set up Junip, describe each trigger, and show how to create a Junip-specific automation.
Part 1: Create a Postscript API Key
Select your Shop Name in the side menu of your Postscript dashboard, then select API.
Select Create Security Key Pair on the right side of the page, then confirm your action by selecting Yes.
Select Show in the Private Key column to reveal your API key. Copy this key or write it down—you'll need to enter it in Junip later.
Part 2: Configure Postscript in Junip
Select Integrations in side menu of your Junip dashboard.
Locate and select Postscript.
Select the Install button in the bottom-right corner of the page.
Enter the API Key you copied from Postscript.
Select Install.
Part 3: Add the Integration to Your Flows in Junip
Before Postscript can send anything, you need to tell Junip where and how you want to send messages for review requests, incentives, and so on. By default, Junip sends these through its own emails. To send an SMS via Postscript for a given message, add Postscript as an action in the relevant Junip flow.
In Junip admin, go to Messages / Flows and open the Post-purchase review request flow.
Select Add next to the Postscript card in the list of available actions.
Set the time delay for when the SMS should go out. For example, you might send a review request email through Junip, then an SMS review request through Postscript 3 days later.
Make sure the flow is Active so Junip can start queuing events for Postscript.
Note: Setting the flow to Active only queues events—no SMS will send until you enable the automation in Postscript (Part 6).
Part 4: Create a Junip Review Request Automation
In your Postscript dashboard, select Messaging, then Automations.
Select Create Automation, then Create Automation Flow, then Create a new automation.
Name your automation something like "Junip Review Request."
From the Automation Trigger drop-down, select Junip - Review Request.
Add a trigger filter of All items reviewed is false (so customers who've already reviewed everything aren't messaged).
Add a cancellation trigger of Junip - Review Submitted (so customers stop receiving requests once they've left a review).
Select Update.
Available Trigger Events
These are the trigger events within the Junip and Postscript integration:
Junip - Review request
Junip - Review request by campaign
Junip - Review submitted
Junip - Review confirmation required
Note: Leave out any delay block in Postscript—the timing is already handled by the delay you set in your Junip review request flow (Step 3).
Part 5: Customize Your Junip Review Request Message
Drag a Message block into the automation beneath your trigger and write your review request. You can customize your message with a photo, GIF, and/or emojis, and personalize it with merge tags.
Be sure to include a review link so customers can leave their review in one tap:
Select the blue More button above the message field.
Select Add Tag.
Choose a review URL tag—Order Review URL, First Line Item Review URL, or Second Line Item Review URL. For a simple product review request, Order Review URL is recommended.
Place your cursor where you want the tag to appear, then select Insert Tag.
Select Update to save your message.
Postscript will automatically shorten the link when the message is sent to subscribers.

Understanding Junip Message Tags
Below are the merge tags available with each trigger. (For the full, current list of variables, see Junip's Postscript template variables article.)
Order Event
These merge tags are available with the Junip - Review Request and Junip - Review Request by Campaign triggers.

{first_name} | The first name of the customer that placed the order. |
{last_name} | The last name of the customer that placed the order. |
{order_line_item_1_name} | The name of the first line item in the order. |
{order_line_item_1_review_url} | A URL that allows customer to leave a review specifically for the first line item. |
{order_line_item_2_name} | The name of the second line item in the order. |
{order_line_item_2_review_url} | A URL that allows customer to leave a review specifically for the second line item. |
{order_review_url} | A URL that allows customer to leave a review for any products in the order. |
Review Event
These merge tags are available with the Junip - Review Submitted and Junip - Review Confirmation Required triggers.

{first_name} | The first name of the customer that wrote the review. |
{last_name} | The last name of the customer that wrote the review. |
{review_body} | The main content of the review. |
{review_rating} | The rating of the review out of five. |
{review_state} | The state of the review (pending, approved, or rejected). |
{review_title} | The title of the review. |
{review_target_title} | The target of the review, either the store name or the product name + variant information. |
{review_has_media} | Whether there was a picture of video submitted with the video (true or false). |
{product_id} | The ID of the product the review was left on. |
{product_title} | The title of the product the review was left on. |
Review Reward
These merge tags are available if there is a reward associated with the review.

Step 6: Enable the Automation
Once you're done customizing your automation, select Save Automation.
Select Schedule or Activate, then Activate Automation Now to enable the automation and start sending SMS review requests.
Feel free to build additional review-related automations for other purposes (for example, using the Junip - Review Submitted trigger to kick off a refer-a-friend flow).
Step 7: Verify the Integration
Once your Junip flow is active and your Postscript automation is enabled, confirm events are flowing correctly:
In Junip, check your Events Outbox to see which events are queued and which have been sent. New orders are added to the queue, wait for the delay you set, then send to Postscript.
As events are sent to Postscript, you should see subscribers being added to the relevant automation.
