Analytics give you key insights into how different messages perform with your subscribers. It also shines a light on important subscriber behavior and collection methods.
With Postscript Analytics, you can view data via a graph and a table, both of which display data based on the date range and filters you select. Available data updates every 15 minutes.
We explore each part of our analytics offering below.
Access Your Postscript Analytics
- Select Analytics in the side menu of your Postscript dashboard.
- Navigate to the Messages, Subscribers, or Reports tabs to view related data.
Message Analytics
With Messages, you can view performance data related to messages Postscript has sent from your shop. Message types include but are not limited to campaigns, automations, keyword replies, confirmed opt-in messages (i.e., Reply Y to subscribe), and replies to customers.
Data displayed in the graph and table will depend on the time period and filters you've selected. If you wish to run your analysis of this data, you can export it to a spreadsheet by selecting Export Data above the data table.
- Choose which time frame you wish to view in the top-right corner of the page. Options include Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last Year, All Time, or you can define a custom date range.
- Organize how data displays by day, week, or month and choose which metrics appear via the Select a series drop-down.
- Hover over data points to view the associated exact date and metric value.
- Select the metrics in the visual key beneath the graph to hide certain data lines or make them re-appear.
- Type. View the message type such as campaign, automation, customer reply, and keyword reply. With automations, the main line shows the total analytics for the series. You can expand the series to view metrics by individual message.
- Name. View the name of the campaign, automation, keyword, etc.
- Total Sent. View the total number of messages sent for a campaign, keyword reply, automation, etc.
- Total Clicks. View the total number of clicks the link(s) included in the message received.
- Unique Clicks. View the total number of first-time clicks the link(s) included in the message received. For example, a subscriber can click the same link two different times. Postscript logs this as two total clicks, but only one unique click.
- Credits Used. View the total number of credits used to send a specific message. Learn more about message types and credits here.

Click-Through Rate (CTR). View the percentage of clicks the link(s) included in the message received.
- We calculate the click-through rate as (# of clicks) / (# of messages opened) * 100
- Unique CTR. View the percentage of first-time clicks the link(s) included in the message received.
- Orders. View the total number of orders generated from a specific message.
- Revenue. View the total revenue attributed to a specific message. In the case of reply, this is revenue generated from a response to a customer reply.
- Total Unsubscribes. View the number of subscribers who opted out of SMS marketing for your shop via a specific message.

Unsubscribe %. View the percentage of subscribers who opted out of SMS marketing via a specific message.
- We calculate the unsubscribe rate as (# of subscribers) / (# of messages delivered) * 100.
Subscriber Analytics
With Subscribers, you can view subscriber behavior data as well as data related to individual opt-in sources.
Data displayed in the graph and table will depend on the time period and filters you've selected. If you wish to run your analysis of this data, you can export it to a spreadsheet by selecting Export Data above the data table.
- Choose which time frame you wish to view in the top-right corner of the page. Options include Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last Year, All Time, or you can define a custom date range.
- Organize how data displays by day, week, or month, and which metrics you wish to view (e.g., periodic vs. cumulative, revenue vs. subscriber).
- Hover over data points to view the associated date and metric value.
- Select opt-in sources in the visual key beneath the graph to hide certain source lines or make them re-appear.
- Opt-In Source. View various active opt-in sources. Examples include specific keywords, popups, Shopify checkout, and manual upload. Learn more about subscriber sources here.
- Subscribers. View the total number of subscribers who have opted-in via a specific opt-in source.
- Orders. View the number of orders generated from a specific opt-in source.
- Revenue. View total revenue attributed to a specific opt-in source.
- Messages Sent. View the number of messages Postscript has sent to subscribers who opted-in via a specific opt-in source.
- Messages Received. View the number of messages received from subscribers who opted-in via a specific opt-in source. For example, an interactive keyword might have higher engagement and messages than another, more standard opt-in keyword.

Revenue per Subscriber. View the average amount of revenue attributed to each subscriber.
- We calculate revenue per subscriber as (total revenue) / (# of subscribers) * 100

Earnings per Message (EPM). View the average amount of revenue attributed to each message.
- We calculate earnings per message as (total revenue) / (# of messages delivered) * 100
Reports
Postscript offers three exportable reports: Active Subscribers, Unsubscribed Subscribers, and Revenue Report (Last 90 Days).
- Select your desired report from the Report drop-down.
- Select Generate Report.
- When the report is ready, you can select the Download link in the Download Link column.
- Reports automatically download to your device.
How long it takes Postscript to generate a report will depend on the size of the report. You can continue working within Postscript and a notification will appear at the bottom of the page when your report is ready. Navigate back to your Reports page to download the report.
