Create a Low Inventory Automation Flow

Low Inventory automations allow you to send messages to subscribers when products they've previously engaged with reach a specified inventory threshold. This creates urgency and helps you drive sales before items sell out completely.

How Low Inventory Automations Benefit You

  • Capture Sales Before Stock Depletes - Convert browsing behaviors into purchases by creating timely, inventory-based urgency.

  • Re-engage Interested Subscribers - Target customers who viewed or added products to cart but didn't purchase.

  • Boost Revenue from Limited Stock - Turn low inventory situations into revenue opportunities.

  2. In the upper-right corner, select  Create Automation and choose Create Automation Flow.

  3. Select the option to create a new automation flow when prompted.

  4. Select Low Inventory as your trigger event from the Automation properties panel.

  5. Configure the Automation settings:

    • Choose Inventory Type:

      • Product Level: assesses the available inventory as a combination across all variants of product.

      • Variant Level: assess available inventory for individual variants.

    • Set your Inventory Threshold: The number of available units that triggers the automation.

    • Define your Targeting Options: Include subscribers who viewed the product, started checkout, and exclude those who already purchased

    • Set your Lookback Period: How far back (up to 90 days) to consider subscriber activity.

  6. Add appropriate Trigger Filters if you want to further customize how the automation will be triggered.

  7. Select Save.

Customize Low Inventory Messages

Low Inventory automations include merge tags that can be used to contextualize the messages. These merge tags help create messages that are relevant, drive engagement, and create a sense of urgency.

  • Product Name: The name of the product with low inventory

  • Product Link: A direct URL to the product page

  • Inventory Level: The current number of units available

  • Checkout Link: (Variant Level only) A link that adds the specific variant to cart and takes the subscriber directly to checkout
