1) Enable Postscript On Checkout

Go to Checkout Settings page in ReCharge



Under the CSS Editor, you might be able to see a section that reads “Enable Javascript on Page 1 of Checkout”

IF YOU DO NOT SEE THIS BOX -- Please contact ReCharge and ask them to enable Javascript on your checkout.

Add the following text to this box:

var ps_script = document.createElement('script');
ps_script.type = 'text/javascript';
ps_script.src = 'https://sdk.postscript.io/integrations/sdk-min.js';
document.head.appendChild(ps_script);


2) Enable Postscript on “Thank You” Page

Scroll down the checkout settings page to the “Thank You Page” section as seen below:


Enter the following text:

ps_script.src = 'https://sdk.postscript.io/integrations/sdk-min.js';
document.head.appendChild(ps_script);
</script>

Scroll down to the very bottom and click “Save”

Your ReCharge checkout will now have a unchecked SMS box that asks for phone number:

3) Setting up ReCharge Abandoned Cart Automations

  1. Login and use the left navigation to select "Automations".

  2. Create a new automation by selecting "Create an Automation" on the upper right.

  3. Users can select "ReCharge: Checkout Started" for an automation trigger and set a cancellation trigger for "ReCharge: Order Created" to ensure that the automation ends when a customer has completed their purchase.



Compliance Language

As of March 2021, we have updated verbiage that should be on all opt-in forms and pages.

Pages that Postscript manages or creates are in the process of getting updated.

For any popups or pages that are not created by Postscript, stores should use the following language:

*I agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages (e.g. cart reminders) at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition to purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help and STOP to cancel. View our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

(Terms of Service and Privacy Policy should be linked to the appropriate pages for the store within the disclaimer).
