SMS Quiet Hours

TCPA has set forth regulations to protect consumers - and because of this, we've put safeguards in place to ensure that you're not sending texts to your customers outside of these regulations.

The waking hours that we adhere to are between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm Pacific time. We do not base waking hours off of the customer's phone number, area code, or location - as they can easily be in a completely different time zone than their area code alludes to. By staying within a set time frame, we are protecting your subscribers no matter where they live or travel.

Our automations and responses will only be sent during waking hours. If something is scheduled to go out during quiet hours, it will hold off and send first thing the next morning at 8:00 am PT!

The only text that your customer could receive outside of waking hours are the keyword replies - but that's because they are subscriber initiated. If a user sends your store a keyword to your shortcode at 2:00 am, they will still receive the reply that is attached. This ensures that the subscriber receives whatever promotion that you've promised for opting-in.

Campaigns do have slightly extended waking hours, but it is still a risk when sending outside of 8am-6pm PT. Take into consideration what time it is for different timezones before sending.

If your subscriber/customer base is 100% international, please reach out to us in chat to discuss your options for sending automations and campaigns!
